Lost count now of the number of times we have visited – never fails! Lovely week – don’t really know what we would do without this place in our lives.
It’s their eleventh year! And already booked for Feb 2022, looking forward to welcoming you back Steve and Diane. xx let's hope it's safe for you to come!
We've travelled down to S.W Devon, It's been a small taste of heaven, The peace, quiet and calm, have been a healing balm... We've walked the beach for miles, in sun, rain and gales breathing in clean sea air, feeling happy without a care.... We're staying at Pickwell Barton Farm, in Pickwell Barton Cottage snug and warm, clean, springwater from the tap, flickering log fires to sit by and nap....We booked a two weeks stay and now we're going home today; to all the smoke and grime of town already planning our next trip down... Thanks see you again:)
Another lovely week at Pickwell Cottage. Accommodation outstanding as usual. Many thanks to Jane for all her hard work and goodies that left for us to enjoy. Our family have been coming to Putsborough Beach for many years, now we have a new addition to the family we can count five generations dating back to the 1930’s. The location is beautiful and we have already booked for the autumn and next summer. THANK YOU FOR A LOVELY WEEK YET AGAIN. Xxx
Gorgeous Cottage, so well equipped, perfectly placed for the best beach holiday ( Putsborough & Woolacombe) for a family of parents and grandparents & 3yrs & 10 month old! Thank you to Jane for all the goodies left for us, and the chicken and lamb feeding. Good Sunday roast at the Kings Arms in Georgeham, and the Big Sheep and a great hit with the children!
Our first time in Devon and we already found a marvellous place, wonderful cottage, warm welcome and fantastic hosts, great hiking opportunities nearby and lovely villages/towns. We all enjoyed our stay on the farm, but Victor loved the mornings with the sheep and lambs, the tour of the fields were the best of our stay!
We did some hiking nearby (Putsborough and Baggy Point) and a bit further away (Lynton/Clovelly/ Hartland Point). The Devon Coast is beautiful. Thanks for a great holiday and we hope to be able to come back.
Belgium
We first chanced upon Pickwell Barton Cottage in 2010 and this is our 5th visit . I guess that speaks for itself! We love the peace and quiet here and regards Jane, Andrew and family, not just as our hosts, but our friends too. We have loved watching Jane gradually improving the cottage(although we have always loved it anyway) and I think the latest upgrades to the bedrooms are lovely. Once again we have been lucky with the weather (30 degrees yesterday on the longest day). Just don’t want to go home! Cannot wait until the next time.

It was great! We went to the Wildlife and Dinosaur Park. We learnt to bodyboard and had a lot of fun. We got stung by jellyfish. We made a jellyfish farm in a rock pool. We met a friend in Devon. She was called Ella. Ella helped us with our jellyfish farm. We have loved staying here. Lucy and Isabel.xx
An all too short end of summer break that we all thorourghly enjoyed. Stunning location, Beautifully presented, well equipped cottage. Fabulous meals out at The Rock Inn & The King's Arms and fantastic walks. Top Notch!
